The J39 Portraits
We mark the 75th anniversary of the J39 Mogensen Chair with a series of portraits visiting Copenhagen creatives having the chair in their homes or studio to chat about what makes good design, creating a particular atmosphere and choosing furniture with the heart.
Simple steps to make your J39 Mogensen Chair last for generations.
Wipe with a clean, dry cloth. We do not recommend using wet cloths on oiled surfaces if this can be avoided. For stains that cannot be removed with a dry cloth, use a soft cloth dampened with clean water and wrung out.
Oiled wood surfaces must be maintained regularly with the application of a thin layer of oil.
We’ve come along way since the first version of the J39 Mogensen Chair was made in 1950. Now, more than 70% of the chair comes from sustainable sourced materials and processes.
The wood used for this furniture is traceable to the source with oak variants being FSC®-certified.
