Model 2031 - By Børge Mogensen
The Canvas Chair
The Canvas Chair is a sustainable design, where material, shape and functionality is calibrated to equilibrium. Designed in 1970 by Børge Mogensen as one of his last pieces before his untimely passing in 1972, it is composed by clearly recognisable materials and shapes. Linen canvas is used for the seat and back suspended between conic pieces of solid oak – as the soft counterpart to an angular, almost constructivist base in solid oak.

Tips for taking care of your Canvas Chair
Soap treated wood is a lot like untreated wood, characterized by the beautiful patina, which is created over time. As the years pass, the wood will become increasingly resilient to dirt as the surfaces turn ‘greasy’ from daily use and regular maintenance with soap flakes.
At Fredericia, we strive to continue our heritage of purposeful and sustainable design, creating modern originals that encourage human well-being wherever people live, work or relax.
The canvas used for this chair offers a comfortable seat, as a plastic-free alternative to polyurethane foams.
The wood used for this furniture comes from responsibly managed FSC®-certified forests.
Crafted to last
Fredericia offers an extended warranty of 7 years on this product. If kept well, the life expectancy of this product is 40+ years.
