Damian Williamson

Furniture and product designer Damian Williamson (1974-2024) received his education at Kingston University in London's Department of Product Design 1998. He began his career by working on numerous design projects and collaborating with various design studios before establishing his design firm, Damian Williamson Office For Design, based in Stockholm in 2004. This studio committed itself to merging technological research and innovation.
Beyond his contributions to design, Williamson also influenced future generations of creators through his role as a guest lecturer at LTH University in Sweden. Over the years, he dedicated himself to researching and imparting knowledge on the latest technological advancements in industrial design.
Sculptural and functional designs
In 2007, Wallpaper Magazine selected Williamson for their 'Hot 100' list, an annually curated collection highlighting the most exciting and innovative personalities in design, architecture, and art worldwide. Simultaneously, Eero Koivisto named him one of the most interesting young designers.
As a designer, Williamson worked at the intersection of British and Swedish aesthetics, creating sleek and sculptural works rooted in functionality and materials. He drew natural inspiration and unified strict lines with organic shapes to form an elegant and inviting visual language.
