Mogensen 2213 Sofa
Born from a desire to create the ultimate sofa, Børge Mogensen designed the first 2213 Sofa for his own home in 1962. Today, the sofa is probably the most iconic sofa in mid-century Danish design, found in embassies, corporate headquarters, private residences, galleries and museums around the globe. At Fredericia, we are committed to keeping the legacy of this cherished design alive at our workshop, where every piece is made using only the finest materials and expert craftsmanship.

We visited Mogensen's former house just north of Copenhagen. Adding a few modern, decorative touches to update the interior, we furnished the house with some of his most celebrated designs for this photo shoot. Solid wood
This furniture is made from solid wood that stores carbon and – if kept well – will get a beautiful patina. As needed, the surfaces can be sanded down and restored by skilled locals anywhere in the world.
