Ross Farm Cabin
Originally a simple farm cottage, Ross Farm Cabin, located in Victoria, Australia, has been renovated by interior designer Andrea Moore together with her father Lindsay. A mix of raw and refined elements, the cabin’s aesthetics draw inspiration from the local landscape as well as both Scandinavia and Japan for a soothing atmosphere.
The intention behind the project being to experiment and create whatever possible from scratch. The result is a house including many hand-crafted elements – from furniture to lighting and hardware. Integrated is the classic J39 Chair and Canvas Chair, both by Børge Mogensen in wood, paper cord and linen, making the space tactile, warm and inviting.
The Canvas Chair
is a sustainable design, where material, shape and functionality is calibrated to equilibrium. Designed in 1970 by Børge Mogensen as one of his last pieces before his untimely passing in 1972, it is composed by clearly recognisable materials and shapes.
